Marketing Excellence on the Web
On a cold, slick and snowy Tuesday morning January 22, The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce held a superb Chamber Academy event at Distefano Technology and Manufacturing Co., 3838 S. 108th St. in Omaha. “Marketing Excellence on the Web” gave the sold-out crowd of 100 Chamber members many hot tips and techniques to help maximize their web marketing ROI. To say that the audience was engaged would be quite an understatement; these folks hung on every word and many took extensive notes.
Though the snowy commute pushed the start time back a bit, Creighton University professor, marketing expert and Chamber Academy emcee, Tim P. McMahon, kicked off the morning and kept the event moving at a brisk pace. Featured guest speakers included Dave Nelson, creative director from Secret Penguin, Karissa Tomsen, V.P. of business development with Intertwine Interactive and Adrian Blake, CEO of Social Media Contractors.
The Greater Omaha Chamber Academy has a long track record of successful, informative and useful events. Today’s session really showcased how well people can work together for the common good. Larry, Bridget (both of them) and the rest of the Chamber staff are to be congratulated on bringing this exceptional workshop on web marketing to an audience of business men and women hungry to learn, grow and profit.
For each talented speaker, the room was alive with questions, answers and ideas. The constant, up-beat interaction of the presenters, emcee and audience was indicative of the wealth of knowledge disseminated and the quality of the event.
Event sponsors included Distefano Technology & Manufacturing Co., The Greater Omaha Chamber, Microsoft, LaRue Coffee, Creighton University, Intertwine Interactive, Secret Penguin, Social Media Contractors, Streamlight Productions and my favorite pro audio outfit, Midwest Sound & Lighting.
Congratulations and thanks to all for a great event!
